Dinah was a long time in the making! Judy Cohen and I first became acquainted when I got Rock, who was a son of Judy's Ch. Adjustor of Connie. Judy and her husband Art have owned many great show, field, and Dual Champions throughout the years and when I got Taryn, who went back to Rock as well as Judy's Ch. Hybrittin's Buffalo Bonz, I was always happy to share in her adventures as my first "real" field trial dog. When Judy helped me out of a pickle several years ago, we agreed I would someday repay her with puppy out of Taryn. Taryn's pups by NFC/FC/AFC Shambo's Dark Shadow were born in 2008, and Judy chose "the white one"! Dinah went to live in Pennsylvania, and we agreed to co-own her in case I ever had Dinah and wanted to show her in the Bred by Exhibitor class.

Though Art started Dinah in the field, their training grounds and opportunities are now limited so Dinah did come back west to Ed Tillson for field training the following summer. She earned her Derby points with Ed, and proved to be the most independent pup in the litter! Dinah was not quite ready for adult stakes as a 2 year old, so she went back to PA and got her start in the show ring with Judy, earning her first major. But she was not too keen on dog shows, and did her best to hide her lovely structure and spectacular side gait, so she also spent some time with another friend, Andi Christensen in Colorado, to work on her show skills. She began to come around to the show game, and then started in All Age stakes in 2011.

Dinah stayed with me after the spring 2012 trial season, and that co-ownership came in handy as I did get to show her in Bred-by. We finally agreed that dog shows aren't so bad, and Dinah finished her title with 5 majors - the first and last with Judy handling and the middle three with me. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to have a litter out of Dinah.
