Dennis was our top pick from a highly anticipated breeding of our special girl, Dani to ABC & Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame NFC/DC/AFC Tequila's Joker. The only roan of the 5 pups born, Dennis's call name is after the world record holder for the marathon.
Dennis showed great early promise, finding and pointing wild sharptail grouse at our summer camp in Montana as young as 4 months old. He dabbled in field trials as a juvenile, then spent a season of hunting wild birds in Idaho with our good friend Katherine Thompson. Dennis is all business in the field with tremendous style on point, with a very sweet and loving personality.
Dennis is a strongly built, clean moving dog I was proud to finish in the show ring from the Bred By Exhibitor class. He is one of three show champions from this breeding.
His first litter was born in May 2022 out of FireStarter's Guilty Pleasure. Most of these pups went to hunting homes where they are making their owners very happy, while client Pam Baird claimed the adorable liver roan female and has kept her with us to run in field trials. Tequila Shameless, known as Reo, had a great start at our summer camp in Montana in 2022 and won her first two puppy stakes in field trials at 9 months old.
