"DUTCH" was from a "happy accident" breeding of two excellent young field trial competitors. His sire, Toby earned most of his Field Championship with Ed Tillson including a major All Age win before returning home to hunt with his owners in Montana. Toby was a son of one of Ed's top winning client dogs, GFC/AFC FireStarter's Crossed The Line, and a littermate to FC SKF Miss Cheap Bourbon Whiskey. Dutch's dam, Sundae is one of my personal favorites, from an exceptional breeding which produced multiple field and show winners with outstanding temperaments and hunting abilities. Dutch was started in the Pacific Northwest and came back to us in the summer of 2022. He spent a year maturing and training, and I intended to place him in a hunting home but by the end of 2023's summer training camp he had shown himself to be so easily trained to be steady to wing and shot, so solid and impressive on wild sharptails, pheasants and Huns, such a powerful and impressive runner and so very stylish on point that I decided he deserved a chance to run in field trials. He is a very fast and eager learner who despite having no experience in trials as a juvenile, caught on very quickly and gained his first two Gun Dog placements in his first few trials, qualifying him for the 2024 ABC National Gun Dog Championship. Dutch is staying with us for one more summer camp before he will go on to continue hunting and trialing with his new owner, and we're excited to see how far he'll go in the future! He is a strongly built, substantial, handsome boy who is just a bit over show standard height, a very happy dog who is always eager to go work! "SHELBY" started in the field with several Puppy stake placements and spends each summer finding wild and released birds at our summer training camp in Montana. She has great ground speed and tons of intensity on point, with an always-happy temperament, not easily offended or intimidated by much of anything! Shelby earned her show championship in two weekends, winning 5 majors out of 6 shows! Two of her first pups by GFC/DC Starlight's Mercury Out Ryder and DC/GFC2 Almaden's Under Lock And Key are now winning in field trials, with one of those having major show points and a 1-hour field trial placement. Most of her puppies are highly prized hunters for their owners. Shelby comes from a diverse background of top field trial, show, Dual and hunting dogs and her puppies make great prospects for anything their owners like to do!
